The International Film Festival of India (IFFI) has invited entries for the Best Web Series (OTT) Award at its 57th edition, continuing an initiative introduced in 2023 to recognise excellence in Indian streaming content.

The award honours web series produced for OTT platforms and aims to encourage original storytelling, regional language content and innovation in India’s digital entertainment industry. It also seeks to create greater visibility and investment opportunities for Indian OTT creators.

The award carries a ₹10 lakh cash prize, to be shared equally among the director(s), creator(s) and producer(s), production house(s) or OTT platform in the case of original or co-produced titles, along with certificates.

Call for Entries

Entries are open for web series originally released on an OTT platform between 1 August 2025 and 31 July 2026.

Who can apply

  • Indian producers
  • Production houses registered in India
  • OTT platforms for original or co-produced content

Key dates

  • Online submissions close: 10 August 2026, 6:00 pm
  • Deadline for signed hard copy and supporting documents: 17 August 2026

Entry fee

  • ₹11,800 (inclusive of 18% GST)

Eligibility

Eligible entries must:

  • Be originally created in an Indian language.
  • Have premiered on an OTT platform.
  • Consist of at least three episodes.
  • Have a minimum total runtime of 120 minutes.
  • Feature episodes of at least 20 minutes each.
  • Not have been previously released in theatres or on television.
